Enhancement Projects:

  • Self Service Tax Declaration:

This enhancement is on great public demand by most of our customers. This feature would enable the Employees to declare their Tax declarations through their Self service which would reduce the Payroll Administrator’s onus to enter all the employee’s tax declarations manually. Also this enhancement hosts a new feature of allowing the employees to upload their scanned receipts to their tax declarations. This is a huge and complex enhancement because it involves a major shift in the handling of Tax declaration. I am involved in high level designing of the feature and also coding different modules. We are successful in completing this enhancement which is now undergoing Beta Testing.

  • Income Tax Computation Sheet:

I was one of the two member team that developed a new enhancement –‘Income tax Declaration Sheet’ which helps the customer to generate a consolidated ‘Income tax sheet’ for its employees. Also their employees can view their corresponding ‘Income tax sheets’ on their Self-Service. This enhancement added good value to the Global Payroll India 9.0 product. My contribution includes preparing high-level design of the feature and also coding the SQR to generate the ‘Income Tax Computation Sheet’. I treat this as one of achievement because we accomplished this task in a tight timeline of just one month.

  • KiwiSaver

Inland Revenue of New Zealand introduced a new regulation ‘KiwiSaver’ to encourage its citizens to ‘save’ some money for their pension requirements. This was a major enhancement as it involved a huge change in the existing Global Payroll New Zealand and also educate the customers about the new feature usage as well as immaculately integrating the changes with the existing Payroll framework. I played a key role in this as I had been already working on Global Payroll New Zealand product and well versed in it. Also I was successful in delivering various new reports that were strictly compliant with Inland Revenue Specificaton. I regularly interacted with Inland Revenue Department, New Zealand regarding various concerns and questions. I also had actively participated in Beta-Testing with a leading customer.

I just created a custom search engine for Firefox. And I would explain how did it.

Search plugins are stored as xml under the Firefox profiles folder.

Type '%appdata%' in start->run.

And find "Searchplugins" in your profile folder under the Mozilla\Firefox.

create an xml as shown below:

Name
Desr
UTF-8

http://www.example.com/

Note the "{searchTerms}" is the Substitution variable for the search string you type in the search bar. Rest you need to find it yourself...

Thats it...Not a Big deal!!!

(Will be refined shortly...First post...please excuse!)
